OVERVIEW:
POSSESSED BY A WARRIOR
A dazzling dress is wreaking havoc—and costing lives?
The violent death of her uncle sends Chloe Anderson reeling—and rushing to his estate. As coexecutor of Jack’s will, she assumes that he has left her something. What she doesn’t expect is a bejeweled wedding gown with a note warning her to trust only his business partner—dark, mysterious and sexy Sam Ralston.
Chloe’s been burned in love, but never bitten, and there’s something about Sam that keeps drawing her in, despite her fears. The attraction is mutual, intense, and it takes all of Sam’s willpower to hide his fangs. With Chloe’s career at stake and murderous thieves hot on their trail, the vampire vows to protect her. But can he save her from himself?

Sharon, welcome to The Reading Frenzy
Thank you for having me!

Tell my readers about your new novel Possessed by A Warrior
This is the first in a series of four novels that are linked by a royal wedding. My heroes are supernatural spies: three vampires and a werewolf, and their assignment throughout the four books is to ensure that the prince and princess of two enemy kingdoms get married. It’s a love match, but there is a lot of opposition from an impressive array of villains who don’t want peace. Each of the stories features one hero untangling a piece of the plot against the royal couple. Naturally, their assignment brings them into contact with intriguing women—a wedding planner, a photographer, a fashion designer, and a sultry spy with an unexpected mission of her own. By the end of the last book, we’re finally at the altar for the big finale—and a fresh set of problems!
But let’s start at the beginning: Sam Ralston is the vampire hero of Possessed by a Warrior. After a personal tragedy, he meets event planner Chloe Anderson, who has inherited a bridal gown covered in diamonds. Everyone who has had the dress in his or her possession has died, and it looks like Chloe is next in line. Of course Sam steps up to protect her, and that leads to all kinds of complications—especially when they uncover the history of the gown. Sam sees himself as a straight arrow, white hat kind of guy, but the deeper he gets involved with this mess, the less obvious his path becomes. He has to make some hard choices if he wants to do the right thing as well as honor his growing love for Chloe. As for her, this is a real journey of discovery because her personal history is so tangled with the dress. She has to decide what to do with that knowledge because it pits her against everything Sam represents.
This is a novel of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Will there be four books like the four horsemen?
Absolutely. Possessed by an Immortal is about Dr. Mark Winspear (Plague) and will be out on June 1.  Possessed by a Wolf is about Famine, who is a jewel thief and a chef. Possessed by the Fallen is the last book. Of course, the other Horseman is Death but his story takes a different track from the others.  You will see the Horsemen in each others’ books.

Sharon according to your website you’re an enthusiast for the weird and spooky.
Where did this come from and when did it start?
I’ve always been fascinated by the paranormal and fantasy. I remember getting everything on ghosts and monsters that I could from my school library and I’ve never stopped. I’ve booked a vacation this summer and was delighted to learn that the hotel is supposed to be haunted. I’ll let you know if I see anything interesting!

Sharon you’re a RITA winner for Paranormal Romance. Congratulations!!
Is there an award out there you’re still coveting?
I was very proud of winning the RITA for Unchained: the Dark Forgotten. It really was a huge highlight, and getting any award like that has to be on an author’s wish list. I would cheerfully accept any of RITAs cousins—or her twin sisters!
But it’s important to keep major awards in perspective. Lots of extremely popular authors never win one, and winning a prize does not automatically equate to selling books, which is all the industry really cares about. So, my focus is on individual emails and messages from readers, because in the end those are the people who will help my books succeed. Spectacular is nice, but it’s the day to day wins that matter.

So Sharon you love to write Paranormal Romance, but what kind of reader are you?
I am completely omnivorous. Besides various sorts of romance, I read a lot of history, fantasy, non-fiction, mystery, and quite a few classics. I believe writing fresh stories means sampling other gene pools besides your own. Often I won’t read romance while I’m writing it to make sure that I’m taking a new perspective.

Sharon for those who know me well know that I think Harlequin makes the world go round.
Why do you choose to write for my fave publisher?
The books themselves. As soon as I began fleshing out these stories, I knew by the tone and texture of the material that they were meant for Harlequin Nocturne. Their line would understand how to treat these novels well (and looking at the cover design of Possessed by a Warrior, you can see they did!).  I was really lucky.

So you’ve put your latest book to bed.
What’s the first thing you do?
I clean my house, pay my bills, and remind my friends and family that I exist. Things get pretty scary near a deadline. And a few days after that, I open a new document and start on the next book!

Sharon, thanks for chatting with me here today.
Will there be any author events/signings for this new novel?
Stay tuned for a fabulous Facebook party June 22. In the meantime, I’m all over the web and eager to hear from readers!

POSSESSED BY AN IMMORTAL
Can a mother in jeopardy melt the heart of a jaded vampire?
After witnessing a murder, Bree Meadows is on the run with her young son. But the bad guys are in hot pursuit. Dropped in the middle of nowhere amid a torrential thunderstorm, things look pretty grim. To make matters worse, her son is in desperate need of medical attention.
Mark Winspear has been alone for too long. When the vampire senses a gorgeous female nearby, he discovers that her swift, selfless courage pulls at his instincts. The doctor has history with the same men who are after Bree—and he’s ready for revenge. Working together now, they discover an attraction that might save them both—if they’re lucky.
