I think Susan Wiggs had a section of her book set in Norway during the war and it was eye opening. I can't say I am really drawn to WW11 fiction but I read an awful lot of them! This past summer, I sat listening to one of my mom's friends telling a story about her husband who fought in WWII and wished that he was still alive to tell it himself.
