Well first of all WELCOME to The Reading Frenzy I hope you
like what you see enough to come back and visit often.
Before we get to the fun stuff let me give you a little
history behind me and how I came to blogging.
It all started in the winter of 2003 when I decided to quit
smoking and decided to replace one bad habit with a good one. I was never much
of a reader in my younger days, always resented teachers telling me what I had
to read so I thought this would be a good time to do some reading of my own
choice. A reader friend told me about a thriller she read that came out earlier
in the year a little book called The Davinci Code. And as the cliché goes; the
rest was history.
Then in 2005 history changed again when my husband was diagnosed with cancer and I couldn’t face stories without happy endings hence my rabid addiction to the romance genre.

Now onto the fun facts about me
MY BLOG IS 4 GOING ON 5
I know right It’s pretty cool and I’m proud of it!!!
I LOVE TO REVIEW BUST
If I happen to see a negative editorial review of an author
I read I’ll contact the author directly or
their publicist and ask for a copy read it and REVIEW BUST IT!
I spend waaayyyy too
much time there, usually while working shhhhh J
on my own timeline, the 2 pages I manage, and all the groups, events and
friends pages too and of course it’s where I play all my CASINO GAMES
All the HTML and other blog design stuff still scares me.
And last but never least
I LOVE GETTING NEW FOLLOWERS
AND FANS
This is so cute!! I used to be a facebook floozy too but now I'm a Pinterest floozy!! HA!
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand your need to have happy endings. Sad endings just seem to such out your soul! I recently finished a book where I thought the main character was going to die... The author did a brilliant job leading up to it and I was crying all over everything. It was ridiculous! I was so thankful it had a good ending. I was not prepared for anything short of!
Great to meet you! New follower! If you want to check out my lil social hop it's at: Creating Serenity
Hi Christina, thanks. OH wow I don't know if my heart could take a novel like that.
DeleteThanks for the coment
xoxo

I'm on Facebook like crazy during the day, but my husband thinks I'm on FB for fun. I'm actually on FB to network with new authors/bloggers, and connect with old friends every once in a while. I'm trying to learn G+ because a lot of my family are heading over to G+ because they are tired of dealing with FB's crazy tactics. LOL
ReplyDeleteI despise HTML too. I may be a computer geek, but I still fear messing with HTML. I do mess with it every once in a while, but it still is something I need to learn more of. My husband wants to learn the ins and outs of of HTML, so I'll let him teach me and I'll stick with building computers, protecting them, and maintaining them.
It's great to meet you. New follower. - Book Lovin' Mamas =)
Hi BLMMs, I know what you mean about being on FB to network I do too, and I do get tired of their antics but really they are the ONE place to go and meet new peeps and stay in touch w/old friends. I'm following you too!
DeleteThe HTML and blog design stuff scares me too. *shudder* Facebook can a fun time waster :D
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you :)
Hi Bea, you're a woman after my own heart :)
DeleteThat is the main reason I like romance as well. I want the HEA, HFN something. I always tell naysayers for the genre that romance has something for everyone you just get a nice ending.
ReplyDeleteYES even if it's predictable from the get go. Sometimes you just need that HEA
DeleteThanks for the comment
Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your switch from smoking to reading. Hugs about your reason for moving to HEAs. Have to admit that I never read anyone else's review before I write mine. Then I'm totally surprised when I go and post my review on Goodreads and Amazon and read the other reactions - positive and negative. I call myself a contrarian as I don't always go with the majority... and would guess that's what your review busts do too.
Cheers!
Thanks Emsy!
DeleteNice to meet'cha :) I've always been a reader... in fact, I can't remember a time when I wasn't!!! And as the only reader in my family, I got a lot of ribbing but my parents faithfully took me to the library when I asked. Thanks for the fun event!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Erin nice to meet you too! That's great about your parents taking you to the library.
Deletecongrats on going on your 5th year...that is awesome! The DaVinci code was a pretty good book and HEAs are one of the main reasons I read romances :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome getting to know you Debbie and I'll see you around!
Thanks xo you too! :)

DeleteI am a wanna be blogger ( I do have one) but do not use it at all lately. I needed a passion to share. Maybe I should start a book blog because that is where I tend to spend time as well. I am a new follower to you, it will be fun to read your reviews and such.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl, good luck with your blog and there's not a better passion than reading :)

DeleteIt was fun getting to know you better! HTML is really crazy and confusing at times. There is still a lot I don't understand but I am slowly learning.
ReplyDeleteHi Kindlemom, thanks and ditto right back :)
DeleteOh my gosh. I am so with you about reading when younger! I hated being told when I had to read what too! It's not until maybe 5 years ago I started reading again and enjoying it and making up for all that lost time :D
