Interview-review Kate Hewitt - The Billionaire's Fantasy

Today I bring you an author I love and know well, she writes in many genres and even has an evil twin she also writes under, Katherine Swarts. I know her because she writes fabulous novels for Harlequin's Presents line which I reviewed for years for RT Magazine. Today however she's talking with me about her brand new novel, The Billionaire's Fantasy which is part of HQN's Forbidden Trilogy, a group of three novels bound by a connecting thread but each also stand alone perfectly.
The really special thing about these novels besides the fact they're all over the top fantastic is that Harlequin made them into a serial romance and (drum roll please) they're giving fans part one for FREE!!! You can also check out my previous post showcasing the series HERE!!
So enjoy my chat with Kate and see below for links to the other novels below!

Overview

The Forbidden Series
Billionaires who can look, but shouldn't touch!
For Logan Black, Jaiven Rodriguez and Zair al Ruyi, New York is spread out before them like the Garden of Eden…and no one knows the sweet taste of forbidden fruit better than America's most ruthless billionaires!
When Louise Jensen spent one wicked night with the devastatingly handsome Jaiven Rodriguez, she thought it would be enough. But now that Jaiven has had a taste of his greatest fantasy, he wants more. Louise is about to be taken on a sensual journey by this billionaire bad boy!

Kate hi! Welcome to The Reading Frenzy. I really enjoy your romances and The Billionaire’s Fantasy is amazing.Tell my readers just a bit about it.
The Billionaire’s Fantasy is the story of Louise and Jaiven, two unlikely lovers who decide to have a fling—but their emotional hangups mean it all becomes a bit more intense and intimate than they expected.

Kate I LOVE the couple in this romance.Which one was the more difficult to write?
Thank you! I love them too! Jaiven was more difficult because his background and emotional backstory are so different to mine. But he was a lot of fun to write, too, with all his snappy comebacks and the way he has fun with Louise. I had a lot of fun writing their banter.

Kate this is part of the Forbidden Trilogy written along with authors Caitlin Crews and Maisey Yates and it’s a serial romance, how exciting!Tell us how this all came about and how you were chosen to write your novella.
Maisey, Caitlin, and I all worked on a trilogy together, Fifth Avenue, which was so popular with our editors that they asked us to write a second trilogy about the secondary characters. I was thrilled to get the chance to write Louise and Jaiven’s story, because I really liked them in the first book.

Kate you also write for the Harlequin Presents line and actually The Billionaire’s Fantasy is a lot like a Presents novel. What do you like best about writing these sexy, over-the-top romances?
I love the emotional intensity of Presents. A good Presents grabs hold of you from page one and doesn’t let you go until the end, and I love to deliver the kind of story that leaves you smiling but with a lump in your throat.

Kate tell us about your evil twin Katharine Swartz. What kind of books does she write?
Ha, evil twin! That’s a new one :-) She writes women’s fiction with a dual plotline that has a historical element. The books aren’t as hot but they’re still emotionally intense and give me a chance to write a longer story.

Kate your own bio reads like a Presents novel, a New Yorker falling in love and moving to England with her own hero and living happily ever after.Do you have to be happy to write someone elses Happy Ever After?
It has been a whirlwind adventure! I think knowing happiness helps you to envision a real happily ever after, just as knowing pain and hardship helps you to write those parts of a story. You can’t have one without the other, really.
Thanks so much for having me on your blog! I hope everyone enjoys The Billionaire’s Fantasy.

My Review of The Billionaire's Fantasy
Louise Jensen has come a long way in the world from battered and abused wife to tenured professor of womens studies at New Yorks Columbia University. But when she meets a bad-boy billionaire who fulfills all her sexual fantasies as much as she wants to let him into her heart as well as her bed shes just too afraid the real her would be a huge turn off for him.
From ex-con to successful entrepreneur, Javien Rodriguez is a self made man who pulled himself up from his tragic youth. When a sexy college professor catches his eye and his libido he knows he
s only good enough to offer her physical enjoyment because if she really knew what hed been in the past shed run screaming.

Its all about forgiveness in Hewitts latest romance staring a couple trying to re-build their lives out of the ashes of their tragic pasts. She throws readers right into her lust at first sight story with a steamy affair that really works for her stars, plus it doesn't hurt that the heat between the sheets is explosive. Her street-wise narrative is seductive and really fits the earthiness of her duo, as does her eclectic New York backdrop.

MEET KATE:
Kate Hewitt has worked a variety of different jobs, from drama teacher to editorial assistant to church youth worker, but writing romance is the best one yet. She also writes short stories and serials for women's magazines, and all her stories celebrate the healing and redemptive power of love. Kate lives in a tiny village with her husband, five children, and an overly affectionate Golden Retriever.
