Overview:

Book two in Augustine’s Wyrd Blood series picks up right where book one
leaves off with a lot of questions, uncontrollable magic and fragile
relationships. The focus turns more urban fantasy in this installation keeping
a moderate pace moving a bit slower than book one as the author builds toward
the finale, dropping critical hints and filling in some story blanks. Readers
learn more about the stars Bugs and Ryker and get to know the secondary
characters a bit better too while the tension increases and a possible new
villain is introduced. Bugs really starts to mature in book two and her
compassionate side also becomes more evident. Fans will leave knowing more than
they did and wanting book three with a passion. Series must be read in order.
