Michelle Major’s Fortune’s of Texas series installment proves that even a pretend engagement between an adrenalin junkie and a misfit can lead to love ever after. A solid plot with a bit of a Fortune mystery, an unforgettable couple who bring out the best in each other, keeping up with all the Texas Fortunes and a cute pooch to boot makes this a must read Fortune fan favorite. Can be read as a stand alone but like all long running series its best read in order.

SUMMARY:
Gavin Fortunado, part of the Fortunes of Texas brood, found the perfect solution to get his family off his back about settling down, the perfect, girl next-door, meet mom type, fake fiancé. The only problem is how right it feels to be with her. But he’ll have to settle for fake because he’s not the long haul for love type.

Christine Briscoe has secretly crushed on Gavin for the entire time she’s worked at his family’s real estate business, but he just about blew her mind when he asked her to be his pretend bride to be. Oh– she said I do, even though she knows breaking up this pretend engagement will be hard to do.
