Most of you know that we lost our oldest daughter Vicky to cancer last December. I did okay on the 6th month anniversary of her death but last week she would have turned 56 and it's been a very dark week for me. So it's been hard to be on the computer on social media sites for a while but I'm coming out of it slowly the sunshine and cooler weather letting me venture outside more is helping. But I just wanted to let you know why I've been AWOL this past week.
I thought I'd share a few of my favorite pics of her with you
This is at my husband's 75th Birthday Bash Vicky is third from left next to her oldest Brother and our youngest daughter is second from right next to me in the back row.
Ah man, grief sure hits when it wants to hit. Glad you are starting to feel you can cope better and getting outside in the pretty weather. Love seeing the pictures of her, Debbie!

DeleteI know from experience that it's going to be hard at different times after we lose someone close to us. You have my sympathies and condolences. I'm always here if you ever need or want someone to talk to. The pictures are great. They're a great reminder of the times that made us smile.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you Mary you are always in my thoughts and prayers too

I kind of felt something was up Debbie. It makes my heart sad to know you are grieving the loss of such a beautiful person in your life. Anniversaries can be really hard. Moments of grief and sadness, moments of light. May you continue to find help in the outdoors and precious memories.
