Coronavirus #Shelterinplace Update

I wanted to take just a minute or two to chat with all my friends to check in and make sure you are all doing okay.

We are surviving okay we haven't been anywhere for 13 days but at least the weather is starting to warm and I can do some outside work which is really good for my state of mind.
And of course Princess Pippa and I are still enjoying our daily walks.

In our small town school has been out since early March and a few nights ago a few kids snuck out at night and did some vandalizing, I know they're going stir crazy too but they have to learn to channel those things into positive actions. Thank God we are a small town and someone recognized the ATV that was used as the get-a-way,  contacted the parents and the kids are now scrubbing paint off what they defaced.

Also living in a small town we are too far to have groceries delivered so our daughter has joined several grocery delivery services and brings our groceries out to us. I don't know what we'd do without her.

My state still has a relatively low outbreak count compared to hot spots like New York and California but the stats are frightening when you think that we had our first positive case in Missouri on March 6, the next week we had 4 and today less than 3 weeks later we have over 900 confirmed cases and 12 deaths.  And after the latest news conference learning that at the peak the US could see 100 to 200 hundred thousand deaths its just so sobering to think that many people could lose their lives.

I've never had a problem with depression or anxiety but even an eternal optimist like me has trouble dealing with all the unknowns associated with this pandemic.

I understand that there maybe short tempers now that we're in such close quarters and unfortunately that also means a rise in child and spousal abuse. Take a deep breath, count to one hundred, walk away. And if you're the one being abused don't hesitate to reach out for help.

Are you okay with being stuck at home, are you climbing the walls or is your situation somewhere in the middle?

Stay safe, keep your distance #shelterinplace
