THE CLAYBORNES ARE BACK, AND LOVE IS IN BLOOM!
First introduced in Julie Garwood’s magnificent New York Times bestseller For the Roses, the Clayborne brothers of Blue Belle, Montana, have been embraced by millions worldwide. Their story begins in One Pink Rose.
Travis Clayborne may be the youngest of the Clayborne brothers, but he’s most definitely his own man—unless it means saying no to his beloved Mama Rose. And that’s why Travis is escorting young Bostonian Emily Finnegan to Golden Crest, Montana to her new home as a mail-order bride. Emily has made it perfectly clear that she’s taken charge of her destiny and nothing is going to interfere, not even falling in love with a perfect stranger. But they don’t call it the wild west for nothing…

Read an excerpt:

from Chapter 2They hadn't even gotten out of town before Travis was punched, kicked, tripped, and shot at, but not by anyone from Pritchard. No, it was Miss Emily Finnegan who tried to do him in, and even though she swore on her sainted mother's grave that it had al been a terrible misunderstanding, Travis didn't believe her. Why would he? He had it on good authority from his friends the Cohens that Miss Emily's mother was still alive and probably dancing an Irish jig wit Mr. Finnegan back in Boston, now that the two of them had unloaded their ungrateful daughter on poor, unsuspecting stranger living in Golden Crest.Admittedly, Miss Emily was a pretty little thin She had hair the color of sable that curled soft around her ears, and big hazel eyes that were brown one minute and gold the next. She had a real nice mouth too, until she opened it, which, Travis was quick to notice, was most of the time. The woman had an opinion about everything and felt compelled to share it with him so that there wouldn't be any future misunderstandings.

The Clayborne series

Library Journal Review-
04/15/2016
Three very different "brothers," who bonded as homeless New York street urchins, meet their matches in the rough and tumble Montana Territory of the 1880s (with a little help from the meddlesome "Mama Rose") in these three historical novellas that were first published by Pocket in 1997. The youngest Clayborne brother escorts a fiery Boston mail-order bride to her intended and falls in love in Pink Rose. A rancher helps deliver a widow's baby in White Rose and succumbs to the mother in this humorous story with a dangerous edge. A scholarly hero and a heroine with a secret star in the multicultural romance Red Rose. This engaging trio are spun off from Garwood's For the Roses (1995).

  5. OMG, JGarwood! One of the most memorable books I've read is by her and for the life of me I can no longer remember. It's a reincarnation romance and there's a curse involved. So good!

  8. It has been so long since I read one of her books. This series sounds good.

I think my first romance was Dana Fuller Ross' Wagons West series. :)
