As promised here is my monthly showcase of Harlequin's Special Edition series novels, this month I'm reviewing Caro Carson's Her Texas Rescue Doctor and Marie Ferrarella's A Maverick and a Half.
Enjoy after all Harlequin makes the world go round!

OVERVIEW:

Spin doctor meets ER doctor
Living in her Hollywood movie star sister's shadow is hard enough! But as her personal assistant, Grace Jackson is continually repairing the swath of damage the diva leaves in her wake. And now her antics have landed her in the Texas Rescue ER! What Grace needs is to find her sister the perfect man—someone to dispel the rumor mill. Satisfy the paparazzi. But where could she find this superhero wannabe?
Enter ER doctor Alex Gregory: he's dignified, gifted…and a bit of a nerd. Still, he has an eye for genuine people like lovely Grace. So he reluctantly agrees to let Grace make him over and help salvage her sister's reputation. From geek to chic, Alex becomes a dazzling escort for a celebrity-studded charity ball. But Grace has to wonder: did she remake Alex for her sister—or herself?

My Review

Her Texas Rescue Doctor
by Caro Carson

Carson’s latest in her Texas Rescue series is fast paced, fun and hotter than an Austin summer staring a down to earth, caregiver couple. The escapades of her larger than life co-stars is Hollywood perfect and watching her dynamic duo get their well deserved HEA is fantastic.

Grace Jackson tries to fetch some good publicity for her diva, bad behaving, movie star sister Sophia by booking her a gig at a Texas Rescue event. When Sophia ends up in the ER its Grace who goes gaga over the dreamy ER doc.
Dr. Alex Gregory can’t wait to be free of his latest, prima donna patient and her irrational demands. But he’d love to play doctor with her sexy, unassuming sister.

OVERVIEW:

TEACHING THE RANCHER HIS L-O-V-E's!
Rust Creek Ramblings
Readers, it's back-to-school time in Rust Creek Falls, and new single mama Marina Laramie has returned to her classroom for the first time since baby Sydney was born. Did you hear about her parent-teacher conference with handsome ranching dad Anderson Dalton? Seems they bonded over his young son, Jake, and now we here at theGazette are hearing there is a marriage in the works!
A rancher, a schoolteacher, a grade-schooler and a baby: it does paint a lovely picture. But is it too good to be true? Those in the know whisper this is a marriage of convenience to help Anderson gain custody of his son. We, however, are rooting for something more. Raise your hands, hopeful romantics, if you think Marina and Anderson's "arrangement" has the makings of a grade-A love match!

My Review
A Maverick and a Half
By Marie Ferrarella

Ferrarella’s Rust Creek Falls Montana Mavericks installment is a testament that love of all kinds conquers all. Her duo, the pragmatic rancher hero and the heart as big as Montana teacher heroine were perfect for their roles. Her flowing narrative was big sky perfect and the catch-ups keep readers up to novels past speed.
Anderson Dalton is still trying to cope with all it means to be a dad to his newly discovered eleven-year-old son, Jake. He can definitely see why the boy has a crush on his beautiful teacher; he just wishes he could stop his own crush on her.
Teacher and single mom, Marina Laramie offers some friendly advice to one of her introverted student’s, handsome rancher, single dad; and soon realizes she’s the one needing advice on how to stop thinking of the man in all kinds of inappropriate and un-teacher like ways.

OVERVIEW:

When opposites collide…the plot thickens
When former Special Forces agent Jack Garner opens his door to Erin Riley, he makes two things clear: he won't sleep with her, and he writes alone. Clearly, fame and fortune have done nothing to brighten this bestselling author's brooding manner. But his second book is long overdue, and Erin is there to jumpstart his writing…if not his heart.
Bright, chatty and positive, Erin is like a sunny day to Jack's perpetual night. And even as she struggles to contain her sizzling attraction, she knows she can help Jack have a breakthrough. When the words finally start to flow, Jack starts to wonder if "once upon a time" could become "happily-ever-after." Now, that would be something worth writing about…

  5. Such "Summery" romance stories! Harlequin will always be the best go-to for feel good romances for me. They're my first adult books so there's some sentimentality attached to them too
