GoodReads Blurb:
The Banshee Creek Witches are headed to the beach! It's not all fun and games, though. Fortuneteller Luanne de la Rue is organizing the Diviners’ Association’s yearly convention in the quirky coastal town of Mystic Bay, and she's a nervous wreck. Herding black cats has nothing on managing high-maintenance mystics, especially when a star fortune-teller dramatically announces that their idyllic beach weekend will be tainted by...murder.

Sophia Rose's Review:

Last fall, I binge read all the Banshee Creek world books including the four earlier installments of the Main Street Witches series.  I was a little sad to be all caught up and because I thought that the Main Street Witches series was complete.  Lo and behold, the author released this one and made my book-loving heart go pitter pat.

What could be better than a new book set in the Banshee Creek world?  Why, one that took some of the gang on the road to visit another town full of paranormies.  With sea-going Chessie monster myth and a gaggle of fortune-tellers, Kat, Fiona, Luanne and Sean find Mystic Bay a lovely place until a dead body is discovered.

Luanne and Sean are there as presenters at the Diviners' Convention and for a nice little mini-vacation, but it isn't long until tensions are high among the fortune-tellers and the most hated ends up dead.  Sean assists the local law while Luanne uses her insider's track to learn about all the key players.

I enjoyed seeing the pair work together and also see how their relationship is doing in this follow up story.  Luanne wants Sean to see her as capable as a partner on all levels, but can't help trying to compare herself with others in her business and the sharp female sheriff who is working the case.  Sean has a moment in the middle of everything when he realizes that he wants something permanent with Luanne even while he knows that the timing is off with a murderer on the loose.

The cozy mystery is a good one.  As facts came out and the background on lots of people, it was more of an easier case to figure out who didn't want to kill Walter than who did.  The final reveal was a great surprise.  I had no inkling of the truth and was still busy pointing fingers at the wrong person.

Again, it was fabulous to get a new installment in the series and anticipate more from the Banshee Creek world.  Those who love light and fun paranormal romance blended with cozy mysteries should give the Banshee Creek series and spin-offs a go.
