Overview:
Jenny believes the rented cabin is hers alone—until she steps out of the shower to find a brawny man in her bedroom. No way is she taking on a roommate, especially a six-foot stud with a slow-fuse grin. Yet the brooding Logan has his charms, and his secrets. They'll be stuck together for two weeks. Not long enough for him to seduce her…or melt her frozen heart. My Review:
Alone With You
Lisa Ann Verge
Cabin Fever Series #1
There is nothing more satisfying than a well written
romance with a likeable couple who face difficulties but give readers a
satisfying HEA at the end. Well that is just what readers will get in Lisa Ann
Verge’s Alone with You, number 1 in her Cabin Fever series first printed in
1999 and refreshed for the 21st century audience where readers will
get a solid plot, fluid narrative and steady paced storyline. The hideaway
cabin setting really works for both of her stars, Jenny for the natural setting
for plant research and Logan for his need to hide from life and together for a
secluded love nest. These at first glance seemingly opposite people are more
alike after the layers are peeled away to reveal a broken duo who will heal
each other. Fans of this excellent
storyteller and genre romance and those looking for a feel good read will
devour this novel.
What Dr. Jennifer Vance needed was two weeks alone in a
colleague’s secluded cabin for uninterrupted research into the specialized
flora of the area. What she got was a brooding six plus foot too sexy for his
flannel shirt testosterone filled male taking up too much space and waking up
her snoozing libido.
Logan Macallister’s in hiding he’s been hiding since
returning from South America where he made a mistake that cost a life and made him question
everything then a tantalizing red-head shows up at the friend’s cabin he’s
holed up in with her icy stare and cool demeaner and he’s a gonner.
Will these two damaged souls crash and burn with desire or find what they need
to heal in each other’s arms.
Okay!! Yes I could very easily read and enjoy this book. Following up!
