Macmillan Audio Review of The Path Made Clear written and narrated by: Oprah Winfrey

So like every weekday morning I'm watching Gail King, Norah O'Donnell and John Dickerson on CBS this morning and I see Gail interviewing her bestie Oprah Winfrey about her brand new book so while I'm watching the interview my fingers are flying to see who it's published by and see it's Macmillan and there it is on my April Macmillan Audio review offerings. Kismet!
Every once in a while there comes a book that's life changing, this is that book.
If you know someone graduating from high school or college this is the perfect gift.
Enjoy!

    The Path Made Clear

Everyone has a purpose. And, according to Oprah Winfrey, “Your real job in life is to figure out as soon as possible what that is, who you are meant to be, and begin to honor your calling in the best way possible.”

My Review:

The Path Made Clear
Oprah Winfrey
Narrated by Oprah Winfrey & full cast
The Path Made Clear is a one sitting read that will be put on a shelf and reached for over and over again. It’s stimulating, sophisticated, inspiring and epiphanic. It crosses barriers, race, religion, politics, gender and age, it’s that pick me up when a burden needs lightened or when a path turns into a dead end.
Oprah shares many of her ah-ha moments with readers and lets them into her head and her heart so they understand the how and why of the decisions she made and most important is she adds in their own words, the voices of her advisors, inspirations and teachers to the conversation.
This book is the perfect gift for every high-school and college graduate, for a loved one who’ve lost their way or are heading in the wrong direction and a requisite for everyone’s keeper shelf.
I have admired and respected Oprah for the road she’s chosen for many years and I’m so happy that I had a chance to experience this book for myself it was very personal to me. I know that I will refer to it often and I’m confident that if you chose to enlighten your self and lighten your load you will too!
The Narration:
I’m often leery of books narrated by the author but I should have known not to fear this one as Oprah is one of the world’s best orators and she tells it from the heart. But the very best part about the audio version is that the full cast of her guests, advisors, friends etc.. narrate their own parts in the audio version which makes this a very personal way to experience the book.

  1. Yeah, that does sound like something. Once in a while, we need to get a hand up or boot in the butt from someone else's inspiring words. :)

  5. Oh the audio of this sounds perfect. I've bought the book but... I think I'll get the audio as a gift for my sister. I so love Oprah and wish we got her channel here and CBS, but no to both unfortunately. However I always listen to her podcast as well.
