It Started with a Pregnancy
by Christy Jeffries
Miniseries: Furever Yours
On Sale: May 15, 2019

It isn’t puppy love.

But when one night leads to babies on the way, is a forever family far behind?

Animal rescue director Rebekah Taylor isn’t a pet person—or the family type. But now she’s pregnant and a newbie parent to an adventure-loving stray dog nobody can catch. Kind of like Grant Whitaker, the fancy-free tech consultant who’s not your typical daddy-to-be. Except this dude’s sticking around. Can Grant persuade Rebekah to trust in him and the future they’ve started creating together?

My Review:

It Started With A Pregnancy
Christy Jeffries
As a rescue dog mom any story involving rescued animals speaks to my heart and Christy Jeffries does a bang up job with her installation in the Furever Yours mini-series, including the most adorable rescue doggie ever!
The couple is genuine and likeable, the road to their HEA is filled with obstacles but not overwhelmingly so, the plot has a bit of a mystery to add depth and just the right amount of drama, the secondary characters are a hoot and what could be better than a tale built around an animal rescue.
The real stand outs in this novel is Christy’s focus on animal rescue and her not making the fact that her couple is bi-racial a focus at all.
Rebekah Taylor director of Furever Paws had her life all planned out and it did not include a one-night stand with her bosses sexy, very wrong for her  nephew or a totally jaw-dropping, unexpected pregnancy. But she’s learning to expect the unexpected.
Grant Whitaker had always been attracted to the director of his aunt’s non-profit animal rescue so he thought he hit the jackpot the night she let him come home with her.  But the news she hit him with eight weeks later stopped him in his tracks.

  1. Lovely review and animal rescue is always a pull in. Kudos to the mother/daughter authors, I love that.

  2. I haven't actually read many harlequins with kids

  3. The Maverick's Summer Sweetheart and Having the Soldier's Baby are calling to me. :)

  4. Lots of fun looking romances in this showcase! Excellent Review on It Started With a Pregnancy Debbie! The genuine likable characters, adorable animals, low drama, and the mystery sounds like they all made this a wonderful read!
