have a lot of obstacles to overcome. Avery is a gem, she’s spunky and brave but
vulnerable especially in a place that holds some unfond memories. Forrest on
the other hand is the driving force behind this relationship and isn’t afraid
to do whatever it takes to get what he wants, and he wants Avery. Seeing what
this couple does to overcome so much and end up so happy is worth all the drama
they must go through to get there. Plus, the small town of Tinsley Cove is all
dressed up for the holidays and all the residents nosey or otherwise are
perfect especially Avery’s secret Santa. If you’re looking for a holiday tale
that will make you laugh and cry be sure you include Holiday at Mistletoe
Cottage on your holiday reading list and try some of Nancy Robards Thompson’s

Instead of spending Thanksgiving with her beloved Gran at
Mistletoe Cottage, Avery Anderson is instead coming to lay her to rest and
she’s got plenty of time to sort things out since she just lost her job as a
photojournalist. Now she’s got to decide what to do about her grandmother’s
cottage, she’s not sure she could sell it, but she also doesn’t think she could
ever call Tinsley Cove NC home since some of her worst memories happened here.
And now the cause of most of those unhappy memories lives right next door and
is the Mayor of this small coastal town.
Forrest McFadden is saddened by the passing of his wonderful
neighbor but at least it lets him see her beautiful granddaughter, Avery, the
girl now woman he once had a huge crush on. But now just like then she can’t
seem to stand to be around him, so he’s made up his mind to be a good neighbor
and find out why she dislikes him so much.
