May 2019 HQN Special Edition series showcase + review of Double Duty for The Cowboy by Brenda Harlen

Hi Peeps. May is usually a fantastic month for me, it's my birthday month it's the month I really get my hands dirty in the garden etc... But this May wasn't a thrill, my husband had a mini-stroke and just had surgery to remove plaque from his carotid artery, we had to cancel our vacation to Destin to celebrate my 65th and our 40th wedding anniversary. All went well at the hospital he's home resting and hopefully we can reschedule our vacation for later in the year.
At least things at Harlequin are looking up with this fantastic line of six down home reads. Plus I'm reviewing Brenda Harlen's Double Duty for The Cowboy.
Enjoy!!

My Review:

Double Duty for the Cowboy-May Special Edition
Brenda Harlen
Ah a modern marriage of convenience is an interesting trope but not every author can pull it off, have no fear though because Brenda Harlen nails it in Double Duty for the Cowboy. Regan and Conner rule these pages with their personalities their chemistry and their relationship drama and let’s not forget the cutest babies EVER! It was clever how Brenda steered them through the many obstacles in their life with compassion, humor and a little steam too! A fabulous romance, small town setting, a stable of great secondary characters that series fans know well a tight plot plus BABIES will keep pages turning until that all important HEA.
When Regan Channing finds herself single and pregnant she knows her uppity family will not approve but she’s having this baby so what she really needs is a miracle or maybe a white knight and while she was barfing in the bushes one just happened to show up.
Deputy Conner Neal always had feelings for Regan but being a bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks mean he never stood a chance, until now and he’s taking it. Odd but his usual distaste of commitment is nowhere in sight.

Well that's all folks I hope you find a title or two to take home with you today. And be sure to come back every month when I showcase a new batch of Harlequin Special Editions!!
